Advanced Course Plant Cell Culture - Course E09
This intensive course communicates in a compact form the techniques of the successful in-vitro cultivation of plant cells. Starting off with the suitable plant tissues, the most important methods for obtaining callus and suspension cultures are presented in the course along with the possibilities of modern plant biotechnology.
The course focuses mainly on:
- Culture media, additives and phytohormones
- Isolation of cells from different tissues
- Suspension and callus cultures
- Acquisition of protoplasts
- Regeneration of plants from cell cultures
- Biotechnology of plant cultivation
- Techniques for the genetic modification of plant cells
- Molecular biological analysis techniques
- Biotechnological applications of plant cell culture
The course is intended to enable you to successfully conduct your own cell culture experiments and deal safely and professionally with the critical points of cell culture.
No special previous knowledge is required for this course.
